This is a FABULOUS collection and gives reinforcement of Lennon's amazing contributions to the World's greatest band of all time. Only comment is that Volume 8 is missing the 'real' Track 3. "It'll Be Mine" is missing. Should be 21 tracks but only 20 in the dl. Thanks and hope there is a solution to the missing track.
The Lost Lennon Tapes series, along with Ultra Rare Trax, Unsurpassed Masters, and Sessions, was part of that first great wave of Beatles outtakes in the late eighties that consisted of good quality recordings that were actually worth repeated listenings. Thanks again for posting all these.
Sorry, this set was given to me, so for now I cannot recover the missing track.
I think volume 8 is complete: Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On and It'll Be Me, listed as two separate tracks (2 & 3) are in fact a medley and complete as track 2. The track list on the back cover is off by one number as a result. As presented here (and more sensibly, really) you should have twenty tracks.
